Does Aspen need more, and bigger, private planes like G650s and 737s?
The answer is "No."
Gulfstream G650
The Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners is now considering the Airport Layout Plan to expand the separation of the runway and taxiway beyond the current 95-foot wingspan. This will allow bigger planes, like 737s.
Citizens Against Bigger Planes believe allowing bigger planes will make Airport’s long-festering challenges caused by growth worse - not better.
We believe the public process is defective and is being used to develop and advance airside expansion with no public input or community discussion
if bigger planes are even appropriate.
Boeing 737
NO
Say NO to bigger,
noisier and dirtier planes.
YES
Say YES to improvements to the terminal and a BETTER, NOT Bigger Aspen airport.
Say YES to controlling our own destiny. Pitkin County will not be bullied by the FAA.
